Happy Spring everyone! This year is going very fast don’t you agree?!

Our park is open again and we’re really looking forward to this years fun and games.

Here’s to Meadow Lakes Holiday Park opening for 2017 and the fantastic facilities & fun our park has to offer!

To help give you some ideas on what’s going on in and around St Austell in Cornwall over the next few months, we have decided to showcase some of the best local events in Spring 2017.

The team here at Meadow Lakes have done some fabulous research into the shows and events that are going on over Spring to help make your stay with us even the more enjoyable!

14th – 16th April

If you’re looking for something fun and exciting in St Austell for all the family, the Festival of Fun is definitely one to look into. This 3 day festival has plenty to do and see such as circus workshops, a giant pub quiz, storytelling and dance workshops. So if you’re interested in visiting St Austell with your family this April, the Festival of Fun is definitely going to fulfill your needs.

 

28th – 30th April

At the start of the GB diving season, scuba diving is becoming ever more popular each year. With a weekend filled with fun and entertainment for all, Scubafest 2017 is a suitable event for both experienced and new learning divers. If you’re into adventure, exploring and having fun, learning how to scuba dive is definitely an interesting skill to have or get into!

 

7th May

Are you a keen cyclist? Then Eden Classic Cycle Ride event is not to be missed and is a perfect opportunity to explore the glorious sights of St Austell and Cornwall. The Eden Classic Cycle Ride is a mass-participation event  (nearly 800 cyclists joined last year for the challenging ride!), where you could either join a 35 mile, 62 mile or epic 100 mile route. Upon the ride, you will cycle past some of Cornwall’s finest countryside and coast, where you can enjoy some truly breathtaking views. An activity you wont be forgetting in a hurry!

 

13th – 14th May

A one of a kind weekend, the Mini Riviera Run 2017 welcomes both old and new Minis. This weekend starts on the 12th where the entertainment starts and everything is prepped and ready for the next two days ahead. If you’d like to know more about the Mini Riviera Run and what events are involved, there is an itinerary for the full weekend available.

 

27th May – 4th June

Schools out! And it’s Game On: half-term fun where there is a whole heap of games, entertainment and more lined up over the half term. If you’re looking for an event to entertain the children and is enjoyable for yourself, the Game On: half-term fun is beyond suitable, and it’s believed to be bigger and better than ever this year!

 

17th June

For all music or band lovers, West of England Bandsmen’s Festival is a day not to be missed. It has an overwhelming day planned with a March and contest that will quite rightly be an enjoyable experience for all.

 

17th – 24th June

St Austell Feast Week is a rival of the “Feast of Saint Austol” – which originally last took place in 1946. Now, St Austell Feast Week has lots of events and activities going on from the 17th and 24th of June which are free to attend and suitable for all ages! If you would like a feel of local history and entertainment for all the family, attending a day of the St Austell Feast Week could be the perfect way.

 

22nd – 28th July

Although it may not strictly be in Spring, the Charlestown Regatta Week could not be left aside as it is one of St Austell’s most popular events. The Charlestown Regatta is an annual event where the local community come together with residents and visitors to watch and enjoy a variety of activities. From live music to competitors and raft races, this week is not to be missed and suitable for all the family. Don’t forget, this is also where they film the incredibly popular Poldark TV series!
